Vermont visit - July 2007
- Holly & I drove up to Vermont last weekend to see Sheri & Jess & their country home. What a beautiful state!
Columbus Circle + The King Award
- Holly & I ventured to Columbus Circle this weekend. The Time Warner Center is there, full of shops & restaurants that I will never be rich enough or Republican enough to shop in or dine in. Lot's of cute puppies everywhere.
Carolina Beach
- 1 week in NC watching the waves. Sweet stuff.
Green-Wood Cemetery
- Sunday, Holly & I took a fieldtrip to Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn. Founded in 1838, it's one of the "world's great historic cemeteries". It is huge & chock full of catacombs & crypts & mausoleums & towering granite & marble monuments. Throw in several lakes, a crematory & over 1/2 million dead people & you've got yourself a primo dead-zone. Too bad the day was so sunny & blue. This place is probably fantastically creepy on rainy, foggy days. We'll go back.
New Mexico trip
- Pictures from our trip to the beautiful & odd state of New Mexico - witnessed mostly from the inside of a speeding car.
Hudson, NY
- A few shots from the new neighborhood. Hudson is a great mix of really old, not so old, kind of old, new that wants to look old & new. Throw in some weird & well, there you go.

On the way to NC
- Dad is .... and then I always pause. Dad is..... Dad is..... out of the hospital & back at the assisted living home with his wife. He is playing host to a swarm of cancer tumors. He will not magically survive this. But he's a fighter, Mother Fucker. He's a God Damned fighter & he is doing just that. For how long is anyone's guess. But for now, he is home.
Little town in lights
- December 2nd was Hudson's 2006 Winter Walk http://www.hudsonoperahouse.org/winterwalk.html Hudson is a great little town & well suited for holiday decorations & both organized & spontaneous festivities. We enjoyed the lights, took some photos & then went to the grocery store (good feeling gone).
Roaming around our small town
- A chilly, foggy, then not so foggy Saturday in the little town. We met a sweet dog & got to say hi to Tippy at the coffee shop - so it was a good day.
Rockin' Eve '07
- Ringing in the new year 2007 at Victor & Mindy's little pink house in Philmont. Dick Clark looks better. Fiver has the worst breath ever!
